Heritage Walks 2010

Heritage walk led by trained youth volunteers from the Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti were launched with this festival. The youth from the community have formed a Self Help Group (SHG) with the name Sair-e-Nizamuddin, are conducting heritage walk since March 2010. 

Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti, an area made sacred with the rauza (shrine) of the Sufi Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, is one of Delhi’s old settlements. The heritage walk starts at the Shiv Mandir and takes people through Phoolwali gail, Imambara, Kalan Masjid, Chausath Khamba, Urs Mahal, Mirza Ghalib’s Tomb and ends at the Dargah.
